Naturally, when I have a lot to do (hello–I have to pack for turkey hunting on Thursday!), I lay down and read.
I tried to work on a query letter for an article pitch, but I soon shut the laptop and succumbed to the camo-comforter, and finished reading “What Happened to Goodbye,” for the upteenth time.
I love Sarah Dessen books (seriously, all of them). I’ve always dreamed of having a huge library in my house, but I’ve newly been set on getting rid of books I don’t think I’ll reread. It may take me a bit longer to grow my archives, but just imagine a place where any title can be pulled and opened to a spot at random (if, for some reason I didn’t feel like starting again at the beginning), and enjoyed.
I’m a chronic rereader, and proud.
I love my psychologist.
I stopped going last summer because I couldn’t afford it. But, she adjusted my bill, and now I’m back.
She lent me this book:
I’ll let you know what I think. 🙂
My biggest goal in life is to write a book.
I work at a book publishing company, so watching other people’s dreams come true while I procrastinate my own just isn’t going to cut it anymore.
So I made a goal with my “Uptown Writers” partner. I am going to write every day for the rest of the month. If I miss a day–just a single day–I will pay $50 to a charity.
It’s a great thing to do, yeah, but I’m unable to pay my rent on time this month. It’s something I can’t afford, therefore a great motivator.
And my book? Well, I’ve re-outlined three books, and I’ve started fresh.
My first lines read:
Oh my god. Did I just drool.
So, I’m pretty sure it’s going to rock.
I’m sick (insert lung-burning coughs, a cold sweat, and complaining here).
So I came home from work and read in bed…just a little…before passing out.
If you haven’t read this series (no matter what your age), do it. DO IT.
Today was cold. It was also Cuddle Up Day, so how could I resist a night in a blanket burrito?Step 1: Something to nosh on.Step 2: An activity that requires lounging.Step 3: A cuddle buddy. And Voila! You have a successful Cuddle Up Day!
And just to spare you, the movie we saw (“Crazy Kind of Love”), was no bueno. It was all “oh hey I’m a free spirited girl, I jump in puddles.” And then it was like “well hey free spirited girl, I’m a troubled boy.” Throw in a few subplots that fall as equally flat, and you have the movie. Meh. Meh. Meh.
Well, I’m still cold, and it’s not time for bed yet, so I think I’ll dive into the bed blankets, pick up my stuffed animal turkey, and end this special day by finishing my current novel, Wool.Stay warm people (in your heart too).
